TINAQUA
The TINAQUA project aims to establish the scientific and technological basis for the development of the culture of the microalga Tisochrysis lutea (T-iso) as a source of fucoxanthin for aquaculture nutrition. Fucoxanthin is the subject of numerous studies due to its important biological properties: anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour, anti-obesity, anti-diabetes, etc. These properties could find applications in aquaculture feeds (molluscs, fish, etc.) and in particular during period of weakening of animals during the delicate steps of breeding: reproduction, larval development, fragility of animals in the face of environmental stress. The R&D subject of this project is carried out in the frame of the PhD thesis of Ms Anne Pajot (2019-2022) under the joint direction of Ifremer-GEPEA and co-financed by the Pays de la Loire Region |
